This French limestone trough dating to the 1800s has subtle character-defining elements to make it a unique trough. The most obvious is the thin interior molding that surrounds the opening. There is also a subtle channel to the front, as well as old iron attaching eyelets along the back wall. A drainage hole would need to be added, but it would make a fascinating planter box.
CONDITION: Good antique condition. Commensurate losses and buildup. The limestone has inherent undulations. No drainage hole.
