This charming oil on canvas painting depicts a woman sitting in a wooden chair in front of the hearth. A cat and a dog sit near her feet, waiting for bits of food from a bowl that the woman holds. Dating to the 1800s, the French painting is signed by the artist.
CONDITION: Good antique condition. Small restoration to the verso, with very light touchups to the frame. Commensurate age separations to frame. Two eyelets for hanging purposes, but the painting is not rigged. Signed lower right.
