Hand-carved in walnut, this bonnetière vitrine was most recently in Provence, France. The original finish of the bonnetière has been removed, leaving the wood with a neutral tan hue. The motifs are in the style of Louis XV, as evidenced by the highly asymmetrical glass and the panel beneath it.
CONDITION: Good antique condition. Evidence of old restoration, including work to the crown, fills, and the removal of the original finish (with slight traces remaining). Minor age separations. Light wear to interior upholstery. Working lock with key.
