An imposing terracotta statue of a lion, dating to the 1700s. The English lion is bearing a shield, also emblazoned with multiple lions, including two fields of three lions. The three lions has been a symbol of the English throne since Richard the Lionheart in the 12th century.
CONDITION: Good antique condition. Minor losses with very light age separations (beyond the section divides). Light buildup.
