This iron-strapped trunk from the 1800s exudes character. Hand-carved in northern India, the large trunk has inherent undulations, most noticeable at the top. All sides are covered in a lattice of iron strapwork, as is the lid.
CONDITION: Good antique condition. Inherent bends to wood, in particular the top, which also has minor stains. Commensurate age separations. Light interior buildup. Fleabites and slight oxidation to iron, some of which are missing attaching screws/nails, although there are no stability issues.
