The unusual length of this cast iron table (117+ inches long!) makes it quite rare for a table of this style. In a similar taste to a 19th-century boucherie or patisserie display table, this particular offering, which dates to circa 1890, is from Aix-en-Provence. The ornate iron base has been painted white and topped with a black pressed paper board top, although the base is more suited for a glass, marble, or wood top.
CONDITION: Good antique condition. Commensurate paint losses to the iron ,resulting in areas with oxidation. Minor rubs, scratches, and wear to the top, which is not an important aspect of the table. The table base can be topped with a variety of materials: glass, marble, wood, etc.
