A joint stool is a type of 16th/17th-century seating that usually features turned legs and is constructed to resemble a low-lying table.  This hand-carved English joint stool has two tiers of bead and reel on each side.  The baluster-form base also has finely carved channels at various positions on each leg.

CONDITION:  Good antique condition.  Minor nicks and rubs.  Traces of old restoration to fill woodworm damage.
