Dating to circa 1900, this hand-painted iron railing has been repurposed as a console base with a marble top. Originally a fixture of a Belgian balcony, the iron consists of vertical bars with scrolls underneath a frieze of foliage and floret swags. The iron has been painted white, which ties in with the veining of the light gray stone top.
CONDITION: Good antique condition. Very light wear to marble, presenting as scratches and buildup. Light oxidation as the result of paint losses. Very light missing elements to the iron, mostly unseen along the frieze.
