Styled after receptacles that harvesters would use to pick grapes at a vineyard, this French ceremonial hotte dates to the late 1800s.  Featuring two bands of copper interspersed among the highly detailed brass body, the imagery was hammmered from the verso side, in a technique known as repousse.

CONDITION: Good antique condition.  Minor cavitations.  Light buildup, mostly to the interior.
