Hand-carved in the 1800s from seven pieces of limestone, this fireplace mantel was most recently installed at a chateau in Burgundy, France. The front of the lintel, both legs, and the two corbels all have geometric carvings with thick molding. Most of the stones also feature light texturing that add to the charm of the mantel.
CONDITION: Good antique condition. Minor nicks and losses as a result of excavation from previous property. Commensurate buildup that has led to areas with slight discoloration. The back edge of the lintel has been written on, but will not be seen once installed.
