Hand-carved in Italy, circa 1850, this wooden tabouret stool has a very pleasing light blue color with areas of gilded motifs. The sweeping legs are adorned with a roquillard with fluted ground. The shaped aprons are adorned with either pierced foliage or flowering cartouches.
CONDITION: Good antique condition. Minor paint and gilding losses, with light nicks to wood. Very light craquelure and age separations. Commensurate wear to top, with some stains and scuffs. We recommend the addition of a cushion for comfort and aesthetics. The light blue paint is not original.
