Hand-carved in Italy, circa 1850, from walnut wood, this console table has subtle carvings along the slender apron. A series of niches can be seen beneath the quarter-round edge of the top. It’s a subtle motif, allowing the shapely baluster legs and scrolled feet to gain prominence.
CONDITION: Good antique condition with some age splits, some of which have been filled. Wear and minor losses to wood commensurate with age. Old wood worm evidence and minor lateral instability.
