This unsigned oil painting depicts an Alpine village scene.  Interestingly, the scene has been depicted on a copper sheet, rather than the more traditional canvas or board.  The 19th-century painting still possesses vibrant colors, which are enhanced by the 18th-century giltwood frame with floral detailing.

CONDITION:  Good antique condition (the painting is from the 1800s, while the frame is from the 1700s).  Very light rubs to painting.  Minor age separations to the giltwood frame, with some light losses, despite evidence of old touchups.  The painting has been set within the frame by a professional framing company, and includes rigging for hanging.
