Known as a Biot pot (named after the French town where they originated in the Middle Ages), this bulbous terracotta pot has some striations from the throwing process that can be seen above the two handles.  There is a drain hole near the bottom, allowing it to be used as a functional planter or garden ornament.

CONDITION: Good antique condition. Minor craquelure and rubs.  Light interior buildup.
