This table cassone from Northern Italy has a deep brown patina that accentuates the amazing hand-carved chestnut elements. Dating to circa 1700, the trunk is supported by four large paw feet.

CONDITION: Good antique condition. Commensurate losses and age separations. Lock is present, but no key. There are a couple of loose elements, but the integrity of the cassone is sound.
