This beautiful petit buffet with a marble top has a false front center door that is a pull-out seat, allowing it to be used as a bureau. Hand-carved from walnut circa 1750, this is a period Louis XV piece of furniture. A pair of shapely doors flanks the center pull-out seat, with three belt drawers beneath the pink hued marble.
CONDITION: Strong antique condition. Light nicks and losses, with very light traces of old woodworm. Age separations still visible after old restoration to the marble, with the work being strengthened by a professional more recently. Also more recent repairs and fills to the wood, most noticeably the feet. One key for the two functional door locks. No keys for drawers.
