This Dutch parclose mirror is topped by an elaborate coat of arms crest in the style of Louis XIV. Dating to circa 1860, the center and side mirrors are separated by an equally impressive floral and foliate display, with each piece of glass surrounded by ebonized wood carved with repeating undulations.
CONDITION: Good antique condition. The center mirror has shifted slightly, due to very light losses and age separations to the wood (which are unseen). Fleabites to brass with some areas that have lifted. Light buildup. Rigged for hanging purposes. The glass has some loss of silvering, which is a desirable trait.
