This wide billot de boucher block table was used in a French butcher shop circa 1890.  The cutting surface has charming undulations, cavitations, and nicks from repetitive knife and cleaver strikes.  The apron is adorned with angular noix separated by small roundels and includes a wide drawer.  This would make a wonderful addition to a kitchen as a prep station.

CONDITION: Good antique condition.  Commensurate wear, presenting as knife strikes, cavitations, and undulations to the cutting surface.  Slight woodworm damage, most of which were filled long ago.  The top has been bleached more recently, with a small restoration to one of the feet.  Evidence of old fills to the top.
