Known as a bouchonneuse in France, this fascinating cast iron contraption is a wine bottle corker. Dating to circa 1900, the curvaceous lever is operated by the wood handle, which lowers a piston that would press a cork into the bottle’s neck. The perfect accessory for a wine room or home bar.
CONDITION: Good antique condition. Fleabites and light rubs to iron. Wear to the wood handle, presenting as light paint stains, losses, and nicks.
