A wonderful example of French country kitchenalia, this decorative wall hanging perfectly blends a bit or rusticism with elegance. The brass kitchen accessory dates to circa 1910 and was recently in a house in Languedoc, France. The transom bar, which has scalloped leaf terminals, is equipped with six ball top pegs that allow lids of various sizes to be hung. The lids have ball top finials that resemble the pegs.
CONDITION: Good antique condition. Varying degrees of stains and cavitations to lids. Rigged for hanging. Evidence of old restorations to the transom and scalloped leaves. Some of the finials are loose, but still secure.
