Hand-carved in the early 1900s, this Black Forest-style champagne bucket is adorned with meandering grapevines on textured ground set between three bands of copper. Signed near the base by the artist, a French woodworker named “Boutillon”. Boutillon was active in the early 20th century and specialized in the nature-themed carvings associated with Black Forest offerings.
CONDITION: Very good antique condition. Commensurate buildup to interior. Fleabites and very light nicks to exterior. Signed near the bottom.
