This elegant French dining table was hand-carved in walnut, circa 1850. The 1 3/4 inch thick top is supported by a platter that has been carved with a thick cavetto molding, which is unusual, as this part of the table is not generally seen. The platter sits atop two robust volute legs with a pierced center. Perfect for any formal dining area.
CONDITION: Strong antique condition. Minor rubs and age separations to top, with some water stains. Very light losses to legs. Evidence of old restoration work to the top, including filling woodworm damage.
