More information coming soon…
The hand-carved eagle on the back of this French lectern is the work of a master-level woodworker. The bird has addorsed wings that are affixed to the back of the slant, as the talons are perched on top of a tall column adorned with fluting, leaf cups, and thin protruding rings. The highly scrolled feet are embellished with imbricated discs.
CONDITION: Very good antique condition. Very light rubs to the slant, with fleabites to the edges.
