The motifs of this French side chair are amazingly detailed.  Hand-carved circa 1870, the Gothic-style motifs are accompanied by the Arms of France on the seat back.  The coat of arms is topped by a row of beading and a foliate crown.

CONDITION: Good antique condition.  Minor nicks and losses.  Old restorations, one of which was strengthened by a professional woodworker more recently.
