This copper water vessel would have been used in French chateaus as early as the 1700s.  The large vat is supported by an iron support and would have been used to hold water for cooking and cleaning in a kitchen.

CONDITION: Good antique condition.  Minor cavitations, commensurate with age and use.  Light losses to the copper finish.  Very light oxidation to the iron support.
