This ribbed pot would have been used in the Peloponnese region of Greece during the late 1800s to store olive oil or wine. The narrow opening (when compared to the bulbous body) would have helped prevent air from disturbing the liquid.

CONDITION: Good antique condition. Minor nicks and fleabites, with commensurate paint losses.
