A rich and elegant giltwood frame from the Netherlands, which originally held a landscape painting. Constructed from wood and gesso with a gold leaf overlay, the frame was hand-carved in the Barbizon style, circa 1890. The frame could be used in a horizontal or vertical application, and could also be repurposed into a beautiful frame for a mirror.

CONDITION: Good antique condition. Various touch-ups and restorations over the years, with multiple materials (gold leaf, wax, etc.). Some slight age separations in the corners.
