A large Biot jar (from Biot, France), measuring over 41 inches tall, with a diameter of 31 1/4 inches. The terracotta jar has a teardrop-shaped body with a swirling palette of beige, tan, white, ochre, and black, in addition to the yellow glazed rim.

CONDITION: Strong antique condition. Slight losses to the glaze, with minor rubs and marks to the exterior. Minimal losses to the interior. No drain hole. The jar has been professionally restored.
