At over 10 feet tall, this monumental French buffet deux corps bibliotheque would make a wonderful statement piece. Hand-carved in the 1700s, the towering case storage has a hand-scraped painted finish with hues of green, gray, and blue. The upper section, which has four shelves, is fronted by two doors with grillage, while the lower section features two lockable doors with a single shelf in the interior.
CONDITION: Strong antique condition with commensurate wear, such as rubs from the upper doors and paint losses. Minor age separations and losses. The top of the lower body has old restoration, which has been strengthened more recently by a professional woodworker.
