More information coming soon…

This pair of pillar ball finials were hand-carved in France during the 1700s.  The limestone has since developed an accumulation of moss, giving the finials a unique patina.  The rectangular pillars have irregular sides, with a more pronounced slope to one of the sides (see detail photos).  The balls themselves have been textured, adding to the charm of the garden ornaments.

CONDITION:  Good antique condition.  Minor losses to base of pedestals, with one being slightly more pronounced.  Light presence of moss.  Recent work by a professional metalworker to replace the dowels.
