Dating to the 1800s, this pair of silverleaf Italian candlesticks have a wonderful balance to the hand-carved motifs. The tripartite base, which consists of scrolled legs over stylish pad feet, are also adorned with a fleur de lys on each side beneath a triangular entablature. The slender columns are expanded by several protruding rings, each with a different motif, terminating in a flat saucer bobeche with a single pricket.
CONDITION: Good antique condition. Minor losses to the silverleaf, combined with very light age separation and craquelure. Light nicks and rubs.
