The simple, clean lines of this pair of walnut nightstands draw on classic Italian architecture, which is a hallmark of Tuscan furniture from the 1800s. The rectilinear panels are all embellished with thick molding, especially on the doors, which open to reveal an interior with a single shelf. Above the door is a belt drawer, capable of storing bedside items when used as nightstands. In that same thinking, the robust tops can support a lamp, an alarm clock, and other electronic devices.
CONDITION: Good antique condition. Light nicks and losses. Presence of old woodworm, most of which has been filled. Evidence of old restoration, coupled with more recent work. The original finish has been removed, but slight traces still remain. One key works both locks.
