This pair of vases is a magnificent example of French barbotine from circa 1890. The uniquely shaped vases have been hand-painted with a light blue ground, with large, gros-relief flowers painstakingly affixed to the front facade, over distinct landscape paintings.
Attributed to Auguste Chauvigné.
CONDITION: Very good antique condition. Fleabites and minor losses to relief flowers and edges of the openings. Light rubs to flat ground.
