Originally a set of entry doors at a French cathedral in the 1800s, these oak and iron doors have highly carved interior sides with painted exterior views.  The outer side is painted red and covered with elaborate iron straps in the form of black, flowering rinceaux emanating from fluted horizontal bar.  The interior aspect of the doors has faintly carved floral stalks wrapped in banners.

CONDITION:  Good antique condition.  Minor nicks and age separations, with losses to the wood, as well as a missing rinceau to an iron strap.  Light oxidation to iron straps and hardware.  Commensurate fading to some of the red paint.
