A beautiful pair of Italian garden benches that would make a wonderful addition to an outdoor or interior setting. Both benches are hand-carved from nine pieces of limestone and can seat three adults comfortably. The stone has a light gray hue with some areas of lighter gray and white accents.

High-arching backs, adorned with a scalloped shell crest and volute valves above a slightly recessed rectangle, have a subtle texture with lozenge-patterned ground. Lucious quarter-round molding embellishes the three and a half inch thick seat beneath the back. Arm rests are formed by gracefully sloping volutes with geometric carvings on the sides, and topped by a pyramidical finial, also with quarter-round molding. The seat has two protrusions near the front corners that align over the outer legs that are tight volute whorls in an S form. Another shapely leg offers support beneath the center of the seat, with all three legs having geometric carvings on the side and a rectangular plinth embellished with cavetto molding.

Our Italian arched back garden benches can be used as seating poolside, in a courtyard, or even inside in a grand foyer or hallway.

CONDITION: Very good condition. Minor rubs and fleabites. Limestone can change color with exposure to the elements. Please contact us for a photo of the current patina.
