This pair of gilt bronze and marble candelabra lamps is after models made by the French sculptor, Claude Michel, known as Clodion.  The Neoclassical themes are in the style of Louis XVI, which was inspired by ancient civilizations as a result of the discoveries of Pompeii and Herculaneum.

CONDITION:  Very good antique condition.  Fleabites and light rubs.  Professionally wired for use in American homes.
