The motifs on this giltwood mirror from Provence, France, are quite impressive. The highlight of the hand-carved elements is the large, pierced crest of a flowering vase. Dating to circa 1900, the petite mirror would make a wonderful addition to a small space, such as a powder room or hallway.
CONDITION: Good antique condition. Minor wood losses and age separations with some chips to gilding. Very light losses to the silvering of the mirror, which is desirable, as are the traces of red bole from light rubs to the gilding.
