This wonderful set of 10 French apothecary jars would make wonderful additions to a kitchen, either as decorative objects or as functional spice holders. Hand-painted in the 1900s, each jar has a specific ointment or ingredient title in black, surrounded by a golden geometric border. Numerous gold bands embellish the shapely jars, including on the removeable lids.

CONDITION: Good condition. Buildup to some areas on the bases, underneath, and the interiors. Minor rubs and paint losses, with some gold bands completely gone. Please note that some lids will not fit every jar, due to slight fluctuations in the dimensions to the lids and jar openings.
