This wonderful set of 10 French apothecary jars would make wonderful additions to a kitchen, either as decorative objects or as functional spice holders. Hand-painted in the 1900s, each jar has a specific ointment or ingredient title in black, surrounded by a golden geometric border. Numerous gold bands embellish the shapely jars, including on the removeable lids.

CONDITION: Good condition. Some jars have varying degrees of a speckled buildup, including to the interiors. The buildup also includes areas on the base and underneath. Minor rubs and paint losses. Please note that some lids will not fit every jar, due to slight fluctuations in the dimensions to the lids and jar openings.
