An outdoor market, nestled at the base of the Italian Alps, is the subject of this small oil on canvas painting. Although the market is not packed, there is ample movement, with several citizens walking between the two rows of vendors, each stand occupied by the proprietor(s). Surrounded by an elegant wood frame, this 19th century Italian painting can be hung in any room.
CONDITION: Good antique condition. Minor age separations to the frame. There is an old touch-up to the canvas, which is signed “Vito” in the lower left. Not rigged for hanging.
